Email to SMS

Our Email to SMS service enables you to use your current email programme (MS Outlook, Gmail, etc) to send and receive SMS messages. It is a powerful tool for office communication.

Emails sent to, for example, 27820010001@2way.co.za are forwarded via the BulkSMS system as an SMS message to the cell number 27820010001. The first 160 characters of the body of the email will be sent as the SMS.

Costs

To send one SMS within South Africa will cost from 25c to 42c per SMS, VAT inclusive. To send an SMS outside of South Africa will cost from 38c to 126c (R1,26) depending on the destination country. See full pricing details for more information.

Getting started

Registering for your BulkSMS account is quick and easy will only take a few moments. To start sending bulk SMS messages, Register now. Once registered and logged into your BulkSMS account, click on ‘Email to SMS settings’ and add the email addresses from which you would like the SMS’s to be sent.

Remember, you don’t have to register with a different user name every time you want to use a different BulkSMS product. Once you are a BulkSMS customer, you will have access to all of the products and services available.
